Knowledge Node Tutorial

This is your chance to enable your otherwise idle computer to make money for you.

You don’t need high-performance equipment to deploy a Knowledge Node. Your home computer is more than enough.

A Knowledge Node consists of two programs:

  1. A daemon process that synchronizes all the latest blocks and transactions in the EpiK Protocol network.

  2. A miner that stores files to get mining power and awaits to mint new blocks.

One daemon can serve many miners. As such, you can build one daemon and launch many (Knowledge Nodes) to increase your ROI.

Advanced

To avoid having your private key being leaked after your Knowledge Node is deployed, you can set the Knowledge Node's Coinbase to another account. That account will receive all the rewards of the Knowledge Node without you having to worry about your private key falling into the wrong hands.

Tips

If you need someone to help you deploy a Knowledge Node, you can ask them to set the Knowledge Node's Coinbase to your wallet address instead of handing over your private key to them.

After the Knowledge Nodes are deployed, you can use the Coinbase feature to manage all Knowledge Nodes in your EPK Wallet.

You can go to the Node tab to manage all Knowledge Nodes related to your current account.

First, you need to know the various values in the image below.

Here you can manage the rewards of your Knowledge Nodes.

  • ID: the Coinbase ID mapping to your current wallet address.

  • Total Assets: all your assets, Knowledge Nodes, safety collateral, data collateral, and rewards.

  • Total Balance: all the rewards generated by your Knowledge Nodes, including locking and unlocked $AIEPK.

  • Locking: all your locking rewards that will start unlocking after seven days and will be unlocked linearly over the course of the next seven days.

  • Unlocked: all your unlocked rewards that can be claimed immediately.

  • Total Power: the total mining power of all your Knowledge Nodes.

  • Total Pledge: the total collateral of all your Knowledge Nodes, namely, the safety and data collaterals.

  • Node Pledge: the total safety collateral of all your knowledge nodes.

  • Access Pledge: the total data collateral of all your knowledge nodes.

Then you can click the View Nodes button to manage the safety collateral of your Knowledge Nodes. You can search your Knowledge Nodes in different filters and add, withdraw, or transfer the safety collateral for each Knowledge Node.

Furthermore, you can click the View Owners button to manage the data collateral of your Knowledge Nodes. Many Knowledge Nodes may share the same owner. You can add or withdraw the data collateral for each owner.

It's easy to manage your Knowledge Nodes. All actions can be taken in the EPK Wallet.
