EPK DAO
EPK DAO is still under development. We, therefore, launched the EPK PreDAO to provide all EPKers with a governance tool until the EPK DAO is ready.
Unlike the EPK DAO, which uses smart contracts to count votes on-chain automatically, the EPK PreDAO uses signed votes submitted by users to count votes off-chain. Additionally, the EPK PreDAO supports fewer proposal templates.
Proposal Templates
The EPK PreDAO supports five proposal templates in 3 types.
Expert Proposals
001 — Blacklist the domain experts with malicious behavior.
002 — Set the minimum number of backups required to identify data uploaded by Domain Experts as contributed data. The default number is 10. Only new files backed up by at least ten Knowledge Nodes can be considered as Domain Expert contributed data.
Storage Proposals
003 — Set the maximum number of knowledge nodes that can get double mining power by storing new files. The default number is 100. Only the first 100 Knowledge Nodes that store a new file will get double mining power.
004 — Set the sampling rate for PoSt. The default value is 100%. That is to say, the PoSt of each file will be checked once every seven days.
Referendum Proposals
005 — Set the unlock cycle of the safety collateral. The default is T+60. This means that the safety collateral can be unlocked 60 days after the withdrawal is submitted.
Submit Proposals
Any EPKer can use these five templates to submit a proposal in the EPK PreDAO by paying 99 $AIEPK to the black hole address f099 and filling out the form for the proposal.

More templates will later be added to the EPK PreDAO.
EpiK Foundation will publicize the valid proposals received each week on Twitter. The most popular proposal within a given week will be published in the EPK PreDAO, while all remaining proposals will be discarded. To re-submit a proposal, you will need to pay another 99 $AIEPK and submit the form again the following week.
Each proposal will have a 5-day voting period. An approved proposal will have a 3-day announcement period.
Votes & Arbitration
Each EPKer can use their wallet to vote by scanning QR codes on the website of the EPK PreDAO.
Depending on the Governance model, there will be different counting methods for the selected proposals depending on their types.
Expert Proposals
Domain Experts govern it on a one-person-one-vote basis.
Expert proposals can only be approved if:
they receive more than 1/3 of the Domain Experts' votes,
the most voted option is supported by more than half of the voters.
Storage Proposals
Storage proposals are governed by the votes of Knowledge Nodes based on their raw mining power.
Storage proposals can only be approved if:
the raw mining power owned by voters exceeds 1/3 of the total raw mining power,
more than half of the votes are cast to the most voted option.
Referendum Proposals
Referendum Proposals are governed by all $AIEPK holders based on how many $AIEPK they have.
Unlike the EPK DAO, in the EPK PreDAO, voters do not need to lock their $AIEPK to gain voting power. All $AIEPK in the voter's account will be counted as voting power.
Referendum proposals can only be approved if:
the total $AIEPK owned by voters exceeds 1/3 of the total $AIEPK in circulation,
the most voted option is supported by more than half of the votes.
